A prosecutor, senior political advisor and dedicated public servant for more than a decade, Peter Russell, Esq. (“Pete”), returned to his hometown of Needham to establish and launch Russell & Associates LLC.

Attorney Russell’s experiences in the MA Attorney General’s Office, the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office and at Executive Compensation Group convinced him that he can provide clients with a unique blend of services tailored to meet their specific needs.

Pete created the law firm of Russell & Associates LLC to parlay his legal, business and government affairs expertise, experience, and relationships into a private business venture. A seasoned prosecutor and senior advisor to numerous statewide and local elected officials, Pete is highly respected and well-known for his integrity, superior work and networking capabilities.

Pete established Russell & Associates LLC and recruited a team of seasoned, highly-respected and well-known experts to provide all clients with superior legal representation in addition to invaluable government and regulatory guidance and counsel.

Russell & Associates LLC was incorporated in March 2006 by the Secretary of State, Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Peter Russell grew-up in Needham, MA and attended Needham High School. Pete went on to Providence College, Rhode Island, on a soccer scholarship, where he graduated with honors receiving both his B.A. in Humanities and Masters in History. Pete captained the varsity soccer team in his junior and senior years, and his senior year was named to the Coaches All-New England Team.

After completing his Masters, Pete joined Representative Lida Harkins’ team, (D) Needham, as her Legislative Assistant. Pete served as Rep. Harkins’ co-campaign manager in her successful 1994 re-election. Two years later, while in law school, Pete was Rep. Harkins’ campaign manger in her successful 1996 re-election.

Pete attended Boston College Law School where he pursued his passions – both by playing semi-professional soccer and also by remaining actively engaged in local and statewide politics. As a law student, Pete was frequently called upon to provide advice, strategy and counsel to numerous elected officials and candidates.

Throughout his career, Pete has been intimately involved in numerous local and statewide election campaigns. Most notably, Pete was a senior member of Tom Reilly’s election and re-election campaigns for Attorney General. In addition, Pete is currently a member of Gubernatorial Candidate Tom Reilly’s Finance Committee.

A public servant for more than a decade, Pete began his career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office during which he was the Supervisor of Cambridge and Concord District Courts and subsequently promoted to the Superior Court where he prosecuted Major Felonies. Pete later served as an Assistant Attorney General – both in the Executive Bureau as a Director in the External Affairs Division, and also in the Government Bureau as an Assistant Attorney General in the Trial Division where he honed his civil litigation skills.

Prior to opening Russell & Associates LLC, Pete immersed himself in the areas of estate planning and real estate to further expand both his knowledge and his networks. He has also spent the time developing the law firm concept and carefully positioning himself to successfully launch Russell & Associates LLC.
