Robert F. Daut, Esq.

After graduating from Harvard Law School in 1993, Attorney Robert F. Daut joined the Middlesex District Attorney's Office where he prosecuted criminal matters throughout Middlesex County, including as supervisor for both adult and juvenile matters.  Attorney Daut has handled criminal matters including motor vehicle homicide, gun possession, drunk driving, license suspension matters including those at the Registry of Motor Vehicles, assault and battery, 209A abuse prevention orders, 209E harassment prevention orders, and larceny, among others.  He also worked in the Special Investigations Unit, where he focused on prosecuting drug cases, and he has handled drug offenses both big and small as a defense attorney, including possession, distribution and trafficking offenses.  As a District Attorney, Attorney Daut supervised 12 assistant district attorneys in two district courts, tried more than 40 jury trials and over 100 bench trials and successfully argued cases before the Massachusetts Appellate Court.

Attorney Daut left the District Attorney's Office to join a high-profile Boston law firm where his experience as a prosecutor benefited dozens of criminal defendants.  As a Senior Associate at that high-profile Boston firm and others, Attorney Daut expanded his practice to include both sophisticated and standard civil litigation.  In that capacity, he handled complex patent cases, where he successfully defended his clients against leading national corporations in federal court.   In 2007, Attorney Daut joined Russell & Associates LLC and has focused his practice primarily on criminal law.

Whether serving as litigation counsel for a publicly-traded company, for family-owned and operated businesses or for just a one-man-show, Attorney Daut successfully has protected the interests of his clients in both state and federal court.  Finally, as the needs of his clients grew, Attorney Daut continued to grow with them and has for the last several years practiced before the Probate and Family Courts helping his clients with their divorce and child custody issues and needs.
